Wrapped Shows

Reading Time: 4 minutes

DrewMo, and Jimbo are three Peace Corps buddies. Jimbo wanted to start a podcast, Drew came up with this topic idea. Mo joined in after guest hoisting.

Join us each week as we decide whether a pilot episode is deserving of a watch or rewatch of the proceeding series. Then hoist your petards with us as we cast judgment on the pilot episode and determine if that pilot is to be hoisted, or not to be hoisted: that is the question. After the judgment, we place the pilot episode in our running list: Quest for the Best and Worst Pilots Ever.

For those of us more dumber than Drew, petard is a real word, absolutely non-discriminatory. Petards are explosive devices traditionally used to blow up doors or walls. Consult your local dictionary for further investigation. For those who overlooked it in Hamlet, “Hoist with his own petard,” is a phrase from Shakespeare’s Hamlet. The phrase refers to one’s own plot or device intended for another that ends up self-destructive. Meaning, a hoisted pilot is self-destructive in its goal of convincing a viewer to continue to watch.

Cheat Sheet:

  • Petard = bomb
  • Hoist a pilot = bad
  • Not to hoist a pilot = good

El Cucuy is My Neighbor

This whole podcast started because Sabrina was having one of her midlife crisis, again, and Stefani told her “just start a podcast”. Sabrina didn’t take the idea seriously but then she discovered there wasn’t many Spanish true crime podcast out there. Once both sisters researched that there were people out there asking for it they said “why not?”. Marissa had to join them since Stefani doesn’t know anything about true crime and Marissa and Sabrina are experts at it. Join us on the 1st and 15th of every month to brush up on our Spanish and scaring Stef.

ReadyComicsRoll

ReadyComicsRoll is the Omniverse’s BEST podcast, hosted by some of the most passionate, and usually foul-mouthed, nerds you’ll ever have the pleasure of meeting; sometimes dragging special guests into our shenanigans in the process.

Our videos and weekly podcast revolve around video games (PC, Consoles, Arcade, etc.), comics (Marvel, DC, Dark Horse, Image, etc.), tabletop games (Yu-Gi-Oh, Heroclix, Magic: The Gathering, etc.) & RPGs (Pathfinder, Dungeons & Dragons, Savage Worlds, etc.), and various other forms of geekdom! Also expect to see movie, tv, and game reviews; unboxing videos, tutorials, and more!

As a wise man once said, “You can’t stop the signal,” and we aim to misbehave. ;D

Each week a new podcast episode and/or video is released, in the hopes of creating a greater community. ReadyComicsRoll wants to bring people together, and maybe even change the world for the better, like the Wyld Stallyns – Bill & Ted…

…or at the very least put a smile on our #Rollers and listener’s faces, make them feel like they are a part of the action, and maybe even teach them a thing or two in the process. One day, we’ll truly be the Omniverse’s favorite podcast, but until then, let’s enjoy the ride, shall we?

You can follow and chat with us on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter!
