The Flight Attendant Episode 7

We’re into the final stretch with The Flight Attendant Episode 7 titled “No Exit,” marking the penultimate plot point before the Season 2 finale. The threads finally start to come together, and some elusive figures are revealed, but the story will not go the way you expected it to because, let’s face it, this is Cassie’s world. So all aboard the hot mess express.

The Flight Attendant is based on the novel by Christopher A. Bohjalian and developed for TV by Steve Yockey. The series follows the particularly messy life of a flight attendant called Cassie Bowden (Kaley Cuoco). A year on, and Cassie is now sober, still working for the CIA, and she’s found some actual balance in life. That is until she witnessed someone trying to frame her, and that carefully constructed framework crumbles around her.

Following the events of the prior episode, both Cassie and Megan (Rosie Perez) attempt to reconcile with people from their past. That’s the thing with offering an olive branch, it can always be rejected, and Cassie’s rejection was SAVAGE. Sharon Stone guest-starred as Cassie’s Mom, Lisa, who took her opportunity to unload decades of hurt and emotional pain onto her daughter. It was such a brutal scene and clearly depicted that just because someone is attempting to deal with their alcoholism by making amends doesn’t mean the people in their life are ready to let them back in.

As we hurtle into Episode 7, and we move past the emotional car crash that was dealt with in the last two episodes,  we get back to the mystery at hand where things go from bad to, well, everything basically goes off the rails. Cassie and Shane (Griffin Matthews) arrive at the next view master location and uncover a startling surprise that’s been left for them. All signs now point to a final location, where everyone is expecting the worst.

These are the types of episodes that The Flight Attendant absolutely nails, as it captures the chaotic mystery with our characters fumbling through and trying to stay alive. The second and third acts of this episode will bring various characters face to face with an explosive ending you will not see coming.

At this point, Cassie is barely keeping it together as lines between reality and fiction collide. Her internal alternates are scattered at this point, with only a few left. The visuals utilized during the mind palace sequence are so utterly bonkers. I adore how the show embraces this unhinged storytelling as a coping mechanism to handle the pressure of dealing with an intense situation.

The Flight Attendant Episode 7 hits full throttle as the show sets up an exciting season finale in which we still have no idea what the hell is going on. You won’t see the ending coming from this one!

The Flight Attendant Episode 7 is available now exclusively on HBO Max, with a new episode coming next week.
