Today, XSEED Games, the independent-minded publishing brand of Marvelous USA, Inc., unveiled a plethora of announcements for the popular farm/life sim series STORY OF SEASONS on its 25th anniversary! A new illustration by series artist Igusa Matsuyama commemorates the momentous occasion and arrives alongside a new trailer showcasing the growth of the franchise from 1996 to the present day!
The announcements kick off with the reveal that STORY OF SEASONS: Pioneers of Olive Town is coming to Windows PC via Steam this Sept. 15. Pre-orders on the standard game and “Expansion Pass Set” bundle are now available for a special discounted price. The “Expansion Pass” DLC and four additional outfits will also be available for separate purchase. Also coming to Pioneers of Olive Town on PC and Nintendo Switch system on Sept. 15 is the “Princess Sakuna’s Heavenly Garb” collaboration DLC, which will be available for free download until March 30, 2022. The announcements continue with STORY OF SEASONS: Friends of Mineral Town being confirmed to launch Oct. 26 for PS4 system and Xbox One. Additionally, series fans will be delighted to hear that the out-of-stock Strawberry Hanako pocket plushie returns as a pre-order bonus on the physical edition, available through the XSEED Games Store and participating retailers.
For the anniversary, STORY OF SEASONS: Pioneers of Olive Town director Hikaru Nakano will make an appearance to answer fan-submitted questions about the series in a video stream at PAX West on Sept. 4 at 12:15 PM PDT.
