Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege will launch on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on December 1. Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege is a popular online tactical shooter developed and published by Ubisoft, currently available on PS4, Xbox One and PC. The next-gen versions feature 4K gameplay and up to 120 FPS depending on whether the player chooses performance or resolution mode.
Players can upgrade their version on the same family of devices at no extra cost and keep their progression. Cross-generation is also available, allowing PS5 players to face PS4 players, and Xbox One owners to play with friends on Xbox Series X|S. Cross-play between different families of consoles or between PC and consoles will not be supported, however.
On Xbox Series S, Rainbow Six Siege will not feature 4K resolution, instead of achieving 1080p. The PS5 version will include DualSense controller capabilities, aiming to deepen the player’s immersion. The next-gen versions will also add better accessibility features (readability options, text to speech, and speech to text), quick start (optimized login flow and a streamlined intro sequence) and a Ubisoft Connect overlay.
