From company updates, next-gen, games, hardware, and more, John is here to break it all down into a bite-size serving to make sure you don’t miss the gaming news that happened each week. Keeping up with the news while at work can be tough, but we got you covered, every Sunday.

This week we’re covering a slower week in news but one that included the announcement of this year’s Game Awards nominees. While there were some great additions you might not have thought of like Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Game of the Year or Ori and the Will of the Whisps for best score, you’ll not some constant nominees through nearly every major category: Final Fantasy VII Remake, Ghosts of Tsushima, and The Last of Us II. We’ll have to wait until Thursday, December 10th to find out who cleans house and if there will be any surprises.

Additionally, Fortnite, arguably the largest video game force today has announced a new one-time-only event continuing their crossovers with Marvel Comics on December 1st. And finally, in the dead of night, Insominiac released an update that will allow players to export their old saves and suits from Marvel’s Spider-Man on the PS4 and import them to the remastered PS5 version.
