Cyberpunk 2077’s debuted its latest Night City Wire earlier today.
Episode 5 of Night City Wire started with a new trailer that focused on Johnny Silverhand and the connection he shares with V, the game’s protagonist. Following the trailer was a behind-the-scenes video where Keanu Reeves talked about his transformation into Night City’s iconic rebel, and included a look at voice and motion capture recording sessions.
In the Score and Music section of Episode 5, Marcin Przybylowicz (The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt), P.T. Adamczyk (GWENT: The Witcher Card Game, Thronebreaker: The Witcher Tales) and Paul Leonard-Morgan (Dredd, Limitless, Battlefield: Hardline) talked about crafting atmospheric original music for Cyberpunk 2077, along with collaborating musicians.
Gamers looking to get into the mood for Cyberpunk 2077 can now also check out the newly-released Original Score EP, which features six tracks for a total listening time of 22 minutes. The EP is available on a selection of popular digital music streaming platforms.
After Score and Music, the episode turned its focus to the innovative technological solution used in Cyberpunk 2077 to power facial expressions and lip sync for characters in the game. The video provided insight into how performances became more realistic across 11 fully localized languages.
Before the show ended, Night City Wire debuted the Official Gameplay Trailer for the game. Over 5 minutes long, the feature highlights aspects of the open world experience players will engage in upon launch, complimented with never-before-seen footage.
Cyberpunk 2077 will release on December 10 for PC, Xbox One, PlayStation 4 and Stadia. The game will also be playable on Xbox Series X and S and PlayStation 5 consoles. At a later date, a free upgrade to Cyberpunk 2077, taking full advantage of next-gen hardware, will become available for owners of the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 versions.
