Square Enix announced today that Shadow of the Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition will release both digitally and at retailers in select countries on November 5, 2019 for the Xbox One, PlayStation4, and Windows PC/Steam, with the Stadia version launching with the platform later in November. Featuring the base game and all seven post-launch DLC, the bundle gives players the chance to experience the final chapter of Lara Croft’s origin story with every challenge tomb, downloadable weapon, outfit and skill.
As my favorite Tomb Raider game in a long while, Shadow of the Tomb Raider has loads of replayability even without the extra content. Add the seven post-launch DLCs and we have a deal. But if you’re like me analready own the base game and the Season Pass, you can download the Definitive Edition DLC outfit for free from their respective platform’s store.
In Shadow of the Tomb Raider, Lara must travel through a magnificent world, filled with the largest tombs in franchise history, hidden secrets, and cunning new enemies. As she races to save the world from a Maya apocalypse, Lara will be forged into the Tomb Raider she is destined to be. Offering a balance between platforming and adventure, this title does everything it can to bring us back to the franchise’s roots while appealing to the new audience that has built around her reboot.
