Catwoman #16, from DC Comics, hits shelves this Wednesday, October 9, 2019. The special issue features Catwoman joining The Year of the Villain as Lex Luthor’s offers her a potential gift. Selina wants to remain on the side of good, some habits are too hard to break, and some treasures too tempting. Plus, the gift puts Catwoman one step ahead of her top criminal rival in Villa Hermosa, the diabolical Raina Creel. In this big new story arc, Eisner-nominated writer and artist Joëlle Jones brings together the many plot threads she’s been building since the series’ launch, prepping Catwoman for her next grand adventure. But will she come out the other side as a hero…or villain?
Prior to teaming up with Lex Luther, in Catwoman #15, Selina has been running a gauntlet of assassins to get her hands on the dossier detailing all the illegal activities of Villa Hermosa while going up against the big bosses of the criminal underworld. She has also most recently been seen back with Batman after being reunited. Together, in Batman #80, the two returned to Gotham in hopes of reclaiming the city from Bane and the Arkham inmates’ control.
Eisner-nominated Jones has worked to craft this incredible run on the series so far. Previously, Jones worked with King, the current writer of Batman, as a regular artist on the series. Catwoman #16 retails at $3.99 and will be available in comic book stores everywhere this Wednesday.
