The film stars Paulo Lara, Juan Ramón López, Ianis Guerrero and Hanssel Casillas, and is currently at 96% Fresh with 79 reviews, topping Rotten Tomatoes’ Best Horror Movies of 2019 list.
Guillermo del Toro himself calls Tigers Are Not Afraid “…an unsparing blend of fantasy and brutality, innocence and evil. Innovative, compassionate and mesmerizing.”
“There’s a reason tastemakers like Guillermo del Toro, Stephen King and Neil Gaiman are fans of this amazing film,” said Craig Engler, GM of Shudder. “Issa López has created a wonderful movie that’s beautiful, haunting, scary, and utterly unique, and we’re delighted to bring it exclusively to Shudder members starting Sept. 12.”
