It’s the summer of 1985 in Stranger Things, the megahit Netflix original series is back for season three, and going by what happens in the trailer and show stills, things are definitely strange and colourful happening that summer.
Backed by The Who’s “Baba O’Riley”, which in my opinion is the perfect song choice both for the lyrics, and opening chords that sound like the techno version of the Stranger Things theme – the trailer shows our intrepid crew enjoying life as teenagers and angsty parents of the 80’s in all their fluorescent, geometric patterned splendor.
Joining Millie Bobby Brown, David Harbour, Winona Ryder, Finn Wolfhard, Caleb McLaughlin, Gaten Matarazzaro, and Joe Keery in the ensemble cast, will be Priah Ferguson reprising her role as Erica Sinclar, the younger sister to Lucas (McLaughlin), and Maya Hawke as new character Robin, who finds herself caught up in the dark secrets of Hawkins.
Stranger Things season 3 premieres July 4th on Netflix, and it looks like this summer is going to be filled with fireworks and new frights from the Upsidedown.
