Ahh can I ask how you made your Altair cosplay? I want to do a modified version of Ezio, but I’m really struggling with making the hood just right, and the blade.

I just looked up a template online for the hood. A google search of “altair (or ezio) hood template” will give you a lot of options. Hoods are never easy so just be patient and practice a little before making your actual hood. You may want to make a dummy hood out of spare or random material you have lying around to make sure all your measurements are correct and it looks satisfactory.  I made my blade from a dresser drawer slide. I’ll put up pictures to explain the general procedure so stay tuned.

If you need any more specifics, just send me another ask. Good luck on your costume.

When my father wasn't looking, I used to sneak into the attic to read his old comic books. After being regaled by spandex-clad superheroes at a young age, it's not a wonder I became such a huge nerd. From comics, to movies, to video games, to cartoons, my life has only been bettered by nerd culture and the many people I've met along the way who've shared my obsessions. My first plunge into cosplaying was when I was 18. I went to an anime convention and my costume was absolutely horrible. But, despite this, I loved the atmosphere and the people, so I kept making costumes. My love of cosplaying has only increased, so I'm here to get people interested in costume-making and give as much advice as I can.
