Tutorial for Attaching Cosplay Horns to Wigs :D

So, this really isn’t a step by step tutorial because I kinda forgot to take pictures as I was originally making my Qunari cosplay.

But, this is a tutorial about how to keep those darn horns on your head while you’re running around as a rather horny character. This is also a tutorial if you want to wear a wig with said horns but don’t want a head band to be showing. Plus, the way I’m about to show you allows you to take the horns on and off relatively easily (just in case your head starts to get sore).

Materials needed:

  • horns (I got mine from this awesome person: greenegoth
  • wig
  • styrofoam (conical)
  • plastic (I used a plastic lid)
  • glue/tape/hot glue/some sort of sticky stuff
  • magnets (relatively strong ones; I just bought some from hobby lobby)
  • wide plastic head band (preferably the color of the wig)

About quinnhiers

When my father wasn't looking, I used to sneak into the attic to read his old comic books. After being regaled by spandex-clad superheroes at a young age, it's not a wonder I became such a huge nerd. From comics, to movies, to video games, to cartoons, my life has only been bettered by nerd culture and the many people I've met along the way who've shared my obsessions. My first plunge into cosplaying was when I was 18. I went to an anime convention and my costume was absolutely horrible. But, despite this, I loved the atmosphere and the people, so I kept making costumes. My love of cosplaying has only increased, so I'm here to get people interested in costume-making and give as much advice as I can.
